Wenningstedt is a village situated next to the island's main town Westerland and is a quiet, peaceful health and holiday resort. The distance to Westerland is great enough to neglect it´s frantic pace but small enough to make use of all it's advantages.
Strandhotel (which translates to "Beachhotel") in Wenningstedt is located in the center of the village and very close to the beach, you can walk there in less than five minutes. The location doesn't only allow you to get to the beach within a few minutes, it's also in walking distance to a couple of good restaurants where you can get something for every taste at any time of the day. The public transportation is 150 meters down the street and the supermarket just a little further.
Wenningstedt itself is the golden mean, far enough away from Westerland and Kampen to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to be able to use all the advantages (gastronomy, shopping) easily and conveniently.
